Around Ueno with Gakkenflex
This is my 2nd attempt using the Gakkenflex toy camera. Here are some photos taken around Ueno.

I think I'm getting used to this camera. It's difficult to get the films scanned without dirt and dust.

Photos taken with DIY twin reflex camera
Just a few days ago I posted about the DIY dual lens camera here. Here's some successful photos that came out of it.

I used a role of Fujifilm Superia ISO 400. I guess the lens is very slow, so most of my indoor photos were terribly under exposed. The film was developed at a local photo lab which costed 600 yen. Then the developed film strips were scanned and exposures were corrected.

I purposely left the perforations, which I find unique since you can't have those with digital cameras.

DIY dual lens reflex toy camera
Today I got myself a new toy. It's a DIY dual lens reflex toy camera set called "Gakkenflex". Since it's a DIY toy set, you have to assemble it from plastics parts, screws and springs. After 30 minutes into it, here's what I got.

It uses the typical 35mm film to photograph. The shutter uses a spring, but you have to role the film manually. Unfortunately, I don't have any film to test out this camera. Nevertheless, check out how well it focuses.

Not bad considering the fact that I bought it for 2500 yen. If you want one, it's included in the "Otona no Kagaku" magazine volume 25, or you can order it here.
